AMA and MASA team up to offer life-saving benefit
|
| The American Motorcyclist
Association (AMA) has announced its partnership with Medical Air
Services Association (MASA) to provide emergency medical services at
a reduced cost.
Most motorcyclists probably don't have tens of thousands of
dollars lying around to pay for an emergency. What if you need an
air ambulance flight to a hospital? Who would transport your
motorcycle home after a crash? What if you are traveling outside the
United States and need medical care that's not available locally?

READING, Pa., (Aug. 22, 2007) - Eddie Krawiec

feeling like he spent the last few days acting out a role that was
perfected by Bill Murray in 1993 - Groundhog Day.
Krawiec's alarm clock went off at the same
time every morning since Sunday, all with the hopes that he would
race his way into the final round of the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals

| ESTOK WINS ASRA
THUNDERBIKE NATIONAL AT BARBER PARK |
 |
LEEDS, Ala. (August 12, 2007) - Deeley H-D/Buell
Canada/Ruthless Racing rider Dave Estok rode a Buell Firebolt XB12R
to win the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) Pro
Thunderbike National at Barber Motorsports Park. Hal's H-D/Buell/Hal's
Speed Shop rider Dan Bilansky finished third, also on a Buell XB12R.
Because of a tight weekend schedule, there
was no qualifying session for ASRA National classes. Thunderbike
riders were positioned for the start of the 10-lap race based on
season points, which placed Estok on the pole and Bilansky beside
him in second position. Estok jumped out to a quick lead at the
start of the 10-lap national, but was soon engaged in a
wheel-to-wheel battle with BMW rider Nate Kern. The pair raced in
tight formation the entire distance, with Kern taking a brief lead
on lap four, only to be immediately re-passed by Estok. At the
finish, Estok prevailed by 1.164 seconds over Kern, followed by
Bilansky.

| INTERVIEW:
Kyle Chisholm |
| Primarily racing in Canada
last year, Floridian Kyle Chisholm also entered the Southwick and
Glen Helen rounds of the 2006 AMA Toyota Motocross Championships
Presented by FMF series where he finished a very impressive seventh
at both events. Catching the eye of several Lites
teams, it only made sense that the long time Team Green rider would
sign on with the Motosport Outlet
Kawasaki
team for 2007. Suffering a serious heel injury
early in supercross, Chisholm is now beginning to find his stride in
AMA Motocross. After several “getting up to
speed” races, the 19 year old is a solid top ten rider.
What I like about Kyle’s riding is that he excels in the
toughest situations. Now with the
recent news of Motosport Outlet Kawasaki folding for next season I
had a chance to sit down with Kyle, who is just outside the top ten
in points, to compare notes on 2007.
