| INTERVIEW:
Andrew Short |
 |
Team Honda’s
Andrew Short really impressed me in the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross
Championships Presented by FMF. Not only was it his first year
on the 450 in the Motocross class, Short had come back from a long,
injury-induced layoff. Taking a few races to get going, the
25-year old was soon a regular podium guy; in particular gathering a
pretty dominant moto win in Texas - as the 2007 season wound down,
Short was in contention for his first AMA Championship!

AMA Grand National Flat Track Champion Kenny
Coolbeth Jr. has announced he will be framed by J&M Racing
Products. Defending his championships in 2008, Coolbeth seeks to
boost his singles program by switching frames.
“I rode a J&M Framer recently and felt ten
times more comfortable then I do on my others. I was pretty shocked
at the difference in handling, steering and traction control and
thought this is what I need to win races,” expressed Coolbeth.

| Exciting
Competition, Increased Exposure and Improved Schedule for '08 AMA
Motocross |
 |
With the recent
schedule released by AMA Pro Racing of the 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross
Championship Presented by FMF, fans of the venerable outdoor
motocross series can now expect a season filled with close
competition, excellent marketing and television exposure, as well as
an improved racing schedule.
The new schedule features a more condensed and travel-friendly
circuit and is a result of communication with teams, riders and
sponsors. The 2008 series will include all 12 returning venues
repositioned to create better travel patterns with less down time
and potentially improved weather. The start of the series has also
been pushed back two full weeks in an effort to allow teams and
riders additional time to prepare for the switch from supercross to
motocross.

| Interview:
David Vuillemin |
| It seems
like just yesterday when David Vuillemin left France and the World
Motocross GP’s and moved to America – but that was back in
2000. Vuillemin quickly established himself as a serious
Championship contender.
Now almost eight years later, the 30-year old is considered a
veteran. Like former Team Yamaha teammate Timmy Ferry, DV is
an excellent test rider, while still being fast enough to land on
the podium. This past year David not only finished as
Top Privateer in Supercross, he also finished the series in sixth
– one point behind fifth place finisher (and former Makita Suzuki
rider) Ivan Tedesco.

| The
men behind the machines at Moroney's race team |
| Pat Moroney
knows the addictive power of the smell of race gas mixed with
flat-track dust and the burst of speed from a race bike. He's been
handlebar-deep in motorcycle racing since he was old enough to climb
onto one.
But a year ago, one thing made him think seriously about
quitting.
It happened on the first lap of the Grand National at Sedalia,
Missouri, on August 25. His rider, Will Davis, and several others
tangled and crashed. Davis, one of the genuine good guys among the
riders on the AMA Flat Track Championship circuit, did not survive.
