| AMA seeks support for ending
health-insurance discrimination |
|
The American Motorcyclist Association is seeking support from all
Americans involved in outdoor recreation to end health-insurance
discrimination against people who pursue a wide variety of activities,
including motorcycling.
For years, motorcyclists, ATVers, snowmobilers, horseback riders,
skiers, hang gliders, scuba divers and others have faced discrimination
from some employers who specifically ban those legal recreational
activities from coverage under their health-insurance programs. That has
put thousands of Americans in a position of either purchasing separate
insurance policies just to cover them for one activity, or facing the risk
of going without coverage.

| STEWART LOOKING FOR RARE WASHOUGAL REPEAT |
 |
James Stewart comes to the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship
presented by FMF this Sunday, July 28 at Washougal (Wash.) MX Park hoping
to pull off a rare repeat win at the scenic pine forested circuit situated
in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
The Unbound Energy National at Washougal MX Park Presented by FMF, round
eight of the 12-event series, is one of the favorite stops in the
championship among fans and riders alike. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s
James Stewart is the defending winner of the race and a victory this
weekend would put the rider from Haines City, Fla., on rare ground. Rick
Johnson (1983-84) and Ricky Carmichael (2004-05) are the only riders in
Washougal history to win back-to-back AMA Motocross events. Stewart hopes
to join that list to become only the third rider ever to win at Washougal
in consecutive years.

| 2 Minutes with Team Yamaha's Broc Hepler |
 |
Like about every other motocross fan I was very disappointed to hear about
Yamaha Factory rider Broc Hepler’s injury earlier this year.
Suffering a serious concussion, Hepler has been recovering for
almost six months. Hepler would have been a serious
contender for the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Lites Championships title.
With an impressive third in moto one at Unadilla last week (his
first race in 2007) I tracked down one of the fittest riders on the
circuit to get his thoughts.
