SCREAMIN' EAGLE WRECKING CREW RIDERS LOOKING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A NEW RACE TRACK

MILWAUKEE (May 31, 2007) - Jared Mees and Bryan Smith are two of the most competitive riders at each of the AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track GNC Twins events even though they are two of the youngest racers on the circuit.

While they anxiously await each and every event on the schedule, this weekend has the Screamin' Eagle Wrecking Crew riders giddy with anticipation.

The AMA GNC Twins racers will be at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., for the first time. It's also the first time in three years that the AMA has competed in Eastern Tennessee. Saturday's Twins event is sponsored by the East Tennessee Harley-Davidson Dealers (Smith Brother's Harley-Davidson of Johnson City, Colboch Harley-Davidson of Morristown and Knoxville Harley-Davidson).

Tonglet turned in a 9.343-second pass at 136.57 mph to beat Fensick's 9.426 at 137.93 in Fensick's first final round appearance of the season.

AMA Rights - News & Notes: June
US Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) and U.S. Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) recently introduced S. 616, "The HIPAA Recreational Injury Technical Correction Act.” Identical legislation passed the full Senate in the 109th Congress and obtained 177 bipartisan cosponsors in the House.
    S. 616 aims at ending health care discrimination for individuals participating in legal transportation and recreational activities-activities like motorcycling, snowmobiling, skiing, horseback riding, and all-terrain vehicle riding.
This legislation addresses a loophole caused by a Department of Health and Human Services' rule making it possible for health care benefits to be denied to those who are injured while participating in these activities.

The Dirt: May:   Jess Roeder Update
Hello All. Well the 2007 Flattrack season is getting ready to hit high gear in the Roeder Racing Camp.  There hasn't been much to report in the last 8 weeks since Daytona, but things will be picking up now that we are into May and getting ready for the Memorial Weekend Springfield Mile.
Daytona was a little different for Jess this year as he split duties with the dirt-track at Savannah and the pavement at Daytona International Speedway. The highlight was Saturday where Jess had to ride a sort of qualifying event to be able to ride Sunday's Moto-ST Endurance race aboard his Hoban Bros Racing Buell Lightening.  Jess finished in 2nd place as a last lap draft attempt didn't work and was just inches short at the finish line. This was a real confidence builder since Jess hadn't been on a Road-Race bike in a few years and the has never competed on the new track layout that was implemented for safety two years ago.

Yet as the 2007 AMA Supermoto Championship season approaches, Ward, the defending and two-time champ with Team Troy Lee Design Honda Red Bull, is still considered the rider to beat despite the fact that he will turn 46 in June.

Mladin Interview: Infineon Raceway Press Conference
at, you are certainly off to a tremendous start to the season.  Can you talk about the start to the season and your motivation for recapturing the championship?

MM: You know, this year’s been a good year so far.  From a motivation side of things, there was a little bit of talk last year that maybe my time was up and maybe it was time to move over and let the young kids have a bit of a go, but the fact of the matter is I won’t go away that easily.  I worked hard in the off season, and since Daytona we have wins in three of the last four races and have had a good, hard season so far.

Lambert, age 39, decided to learn to ride a motorcycle when he fell in love with the dark and sinister 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200N Nightster. Earlier this year, while waiting for the restaurant next to the dealership to open, Lambert took a stroll through the sales area to check out the new motorcycles. When he saw the new Nightster, he had to have it. Lambert planned to buy the Nightster after he completed the New Rider Course, but unfortunately the last one was sold only 2 hours before the end of his class. Lambert eagerly waited for the next one to be delivered to the dealership, and he was finally able to take home his new Nightster on April 21.
