the best time on Tuesday as top riders competed at a
Yamaha-sponsored AMA Superbike Test Session at Infineon Raceway.
More than 200 race fans

REMINDED THAT APRIL IS 'CHECK YOUR HELMET MONTH' |
 |
MILWAUKEE (March 27, 2008) – As the
motorcycle riding season gets fired up around the country, now is
the time to make sure helmets are ready for riding. During April's
"Check Your Helmet Month" and throughout the year,
motorcycle enthusiasts are reminded to follow a few simple rules to
make sure their helmets are ready for summer riding:
Fit is vital – a helmet must fit properly
to be effective, and not all helmets fit the same. A good fitting
helmet should rest one inch above your eyebrows and shouldn't roll
forward or sideways on your head. To ensure a comfortable fit, wear
a helmet for 15 minutes before making a final buying decision.

| Mladin runs
away with Superbike opener |
| The 2008 AMA
Superbike Championship opener took a familiar shape, as six-time
series king Mat Mladin powered off the line from pole and was never
seriously challenged throughout the 15-lap contest at Daytona
International Speedway.
As was so frequently the case in ’07, one of the series’ top
two riders managed to nail the start while the other missed it ever
so slightly and was never able to rebound. Defending series and race
champion Ben Spies dropped a couple positions off the line, and
while he fought to quickly work his way up to the runner-up
position, his Rockstar Makita Yoshimura Suzuki teammate opened an
early two-second advantage by the second lap.
