JESSE JAMES FINED FOR EMISSIONS VIOLATIONS

February 2, 2007 - Custom bike builder Jesse James, of Monster Garage
television fame, has been fined $271,000 by the California Air Resources
Board  for selling motorcycles that did not meet the state's emission
standards.

The agency said that more than 50 motorcycles that were built  and sold by
James' shop, West Coast Choppers, were not in compliance. The violations
occurred between 1998 and 2005. Reports indicated that Jesse James offered
to bring the bikes back to his shop to make them compliant but the agency
declined the offer and levied the fine.

As part of the settlement, the custom motorcycles built by West Coast
Choppers will now be in compliance with the strict state standards.

James rose to fame when his shop was featured on the Discovery Channel for
several seasons and he is also married to actress Sandra Bullock.
