Agusta will all be helmed by one of its greatest legends, Giacomo Agostini,
on hand to receive a very special Legend of the Motorcycle concours honor.
“We could not be
more excited at the prospect of celebrating MV Agusta’s place in
motorcycle history at this magnificent event. As one of the featured
motorcycle marques to be honored this year at the Legend of the Motorcycle
Concours D’Elegance, MV Agusta is pleased Ago will be receiving the
Lifetime Achievement Award,” comments MV Agusta Brand Manager Matthew
Stutzman. “MV Agusta is proud of Ago’s contributions to the world of
racing as well as our own, which account for more than six decades of
truly wonderful motorcycles. This continues to be evidenced today by
amazing new MV bikes setting the standards for performance and design as
well our alliance with fine partners who share our values, such as
JeanRichard watches.”
Widely adored by
Grand Prix fans for his tremendous talent, AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame
Rider Giacomo Agostini, or “Ago,” as he is famously nicknamed, will be
honored this year by the Legend of the Motorcycle with a very special
Lifetime Achievement Award. This accolade will be bestowed to him in
recognition for his vast success in racing and his myriad of contributions
to the motorcycle industry. Arguably the most successful motorcycle racer
of all-time, Ago is responsible for an unprecedented fifteen motorcycle
Grand Prix Championships, most riding for MV Agusta Founder, Count
Domenico Agusta. Ago will be one of the many motorcycle legends walking
the concours field at this discriminating event and later attending the
VIP Dinner with Legends that evening where he will be honored.
In addition to
Ago’s attendance, MV Agusta is also planning several other special
showcases for guests to experience the company’s proud tradition of
making alluring, sensually styled “motorcycle art” of all kinds. The
Italian motorcycle maker will be unveiling the new 2008 Brutale and F4
platforms for guests to view for the first time in North America. The two
respective bikes, the F4 RR 312 1078 and the Brutale 1078 RR, are the
latest incarnations in a venerable line of cutting-edge MV Agusta
motorcycles. The new 2008 F4 and Brutale pair up to make for two of the
most powerful, highest performing motorcycles the world has ever seen.
Gifted with
unbelievable power and performance, the sleek new F4 RR 312 1078 once
again echoes the unbelievable prowess of MV Agusta’s heralded F4 line.
To compliment this acclaimed superbike’s presence, the new Brutale 1078
RR will also be on hand. Known as the most commanding of all street bikes,
the 1078RR is the most powerful Brutale to date, with a heart- pumping
horsepower upgrade and a sleek yet savage look perfect for aggressive
riding. Also on hand from MV Agusta will be the current flagship in
Italian motorcycle performance and design, the handmade $120,000 F4CC
superbike, championed by MV Agusta’s own Claudio Castiglioni. With only
99 examples produced and conceived as a bike without equal, the F4CC
combines top of the line performance with the very best in design.
To compliment the
new Brutale and fine modern day bikes such as the F4CC, MV Agusta will
also be joining JeanRichard watches in showcasing their stunning new MV 75
World Champion Collection. Made to echo the color and beauty of MV Agusta
motorcycles, the lavish limited- edition collection from the highly
respected watch manufacturer is made to commemorate MV Agusta’s 75
international competition victories. The spectacular series is composed of
three distinctly different MV chronographs available in rose gold (75
pieces), titanium (175 pieces), and steel (575 pieces). Equipped with the
in-house JeanRichard JR1000 movement, each watch is crafted with the same
passion for precision MV shares in bike design. The watchmaker will be
showcasing these stunning new MV Agusta-inspired watches at the concours
alongside a special JeanRichard edition Brutale 1078 RR, a bike hinting at
future JeanRichard MV Agusta-inspired timepieces to come.
With special guests
from MV Agusta, such as Cagiva USA Vice President Eraldo Ferracci on hand
to greet guests, enthusiasts of all kinds will be privy to the very best
from the Italian bike maker.
