QTM supported riders Josh Hansen TLD/Red Bull Honda (Moto X Gold) and
Kevin Johnson (Team Faith Yamaha) were the dominant riders at X Games
XIV. QTM rider Ronnie Renner earns Silver in Step Up and Speed
& Style.
Josh Hansen riding for the TLD Honda Team handily won his heat race
and then dominated the Moto X Final riding on Talon/Excel wheels built
by QTM. Hansen Honda was also using the QTM/Brembo Oversize Front
Brake Kit. On a very slippery and technical track Hansen rode a
consistent and mistake-free main event to capture his first X Games
Gold!
Kevin Johnson's ride to the Gold in Speed & Style was a shock to
many, but certainly not to his team. Johnson worked hard to
support his SX skills by putting a much focus on his Freestyle skills -
it showed. Johnson also was using Talon/Excel wheels with custom
red spokes on his Yamaha (again, supplied and built by QTM). Kevin
was also using QTM/Brembo Oversize Brakes as he has been during the 2008
Arenacross Season.
After setting a new world record at the Red Bull Experiment last
month, QTM sponsored Ronnie Renner was able to finish 2nd in Step Up to
Ricky Carmichael. Ronnie also brought home Silver in Speed &
Style. QTM built Renner some trick black Talon Hubs onto Excel
A60's with black nipples and custom Bulldog orange spokes for his KTM.
