Sucker Punch Sally's and Bruce Rossmeyer Resurrect a Classic
PHOENIX--November 25, 2008--Sucker Punch Sally's announced the
launch of the limited edition "Destination Duo"
motorcycle, built exclusively for Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination
Daytona. Equal parts old-school and modern, the Destination Duo bike
celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first fully suspended
American motorcycle, while capturing the bold, no nonsense style of
a true Sucker Punch Sally's one-off.
In partnership with motorcycle entrepreneur Bruce Rossmeyer, Sucker
Punch Sally's created 50 limited edition Destination Duo
motorcycles. The motorcycle is nostalgically styled after the Duo
glide while featuring the modern components standard on all Sucker
Punch Sally's models. Each "Destination Duo" includes a
powerful reproduction Panheadtm power plant, 5 speed kick start
transmission as well as an electric starter, original style 2 into 2
exhaust combination with rear suspension, optional buddy seat, and
choice of a springer or hydraulic front-end.
"We're excited to partner with Sucker Punch Sally's on this
bike," said Bruce Rossmeyer, owner of Destination Daytona, the
world's largest dealership. "We wanted a bike that had a
vintage feel and lived up to the demands of today's riders. Who
better to bring a classic back to life than the old-school experts
themselves - Sucker Punch Sally's."
Each Destination Duo bike will have its own commemorative serial
number, a numbered motor, a numbered, functional custom leather pogo
seat and a limited edition print from renowned hotrod artist Sara
Ray. The first Destination Duo bike with "serial number
one" was auctioned off during Sturgis Bike Week 2008 as part of
the first annual Legends Ride. The Destination Duo bike is available
now and starts at $34,995.
