MILWAUKEE (Jan. 30, 2009) – Key
updates and new accessories for the Road Tech zūmo
GPS Navigator (P/N 92357-08A, $799.95) from
Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories make this
motorcycle-friendly navigation system more versatile and
available for more Harley-Davidson models.
Developed for Harley-Davidson by
Garmin, the Road Tech zūmo kit now includes an
automotive mounting kit at no extra charge and is backed
by a two-year limited factory warranty. A new Road
Tech zūmo Fairing Mount Kit (P/N 92366-08,
$39.95) positions the Road Tech zūmo for convenient
viewing by both rider and passenger on the instrument
display of most 1996-later Electra Glide models (except
Tri-Glide and CVO models). Additionally, the Road
Tech zūmo Handlebar Mount Kit (P/N 92365-08,
$79.95) permits installation of the Road Tech zūmo on
1996-later Sportster, Dyna, Softail and Road King and Road
Glide Touring models and 2002-later VRSC models.
A Motorcycle-Specific
Design
For ease of use from the saddle, the Road Tech zūmo
has a glove-friendly touchscreen with left-handed controls
and a bright, UV-resistant display that's easy to read in
sunlight. Its rugged, waterproof design withstands
vibration. A dashboard display includes trip information
and a fuel gauge. The integrated SD card slot permits the
use of an MP3 player, audio book player or picture viewer,
while Bluetooth technology enables hands-free cell-phone
use. XM Radio and XM NavTraffic with Weather Elements can
be added with the purchase of a Road Tech zūmo
XM Antenna Kit (P/N 92382-08A, $249.95) and
subscription, with free activation and three months free
subscription included at the time of purchase.
Navigate the Open Road
The Road Tech zūmo is preloaded with custom City
Navigator NT street maps and points of interest such as
H-D Dealers, motels, restaurants, fuel, and ATMs. The
rider can also add custom points of interest. The Road
Tech zūmo provides turn-by-turn directions with voice
prompts and street names, 3-D mapview, quick auto zoom,
panning features, a choice of route setup, and auto
re-route, fast routing/re-routing times. The Road Tech zūmo
is also compatible with the online H-D Ride Planner.
