2009 Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals 10th Anniversary Celebration

February 9, 2009 (DENVER, Colo.)The 2009 Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals promises to be even bigger and better than ever, as it will be the 10th anniversary celebration. The event takes place August 14-16, 2009. Once again the festivities will be returning to one of the most scenic tracks in America - VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

The Big Kahuna is a nonstop, action-packed motorcycle racing weekend and possibly one of the best race events on the circuit. This year the on-track racing will have a new look as AMA Pro Racing has made some significant changes to create more competition between the teams. These changes promise to improve the racing in the Superbike class, and add the excitement back for the motorcycle fans.

The redesigned series has new classes like the AMA Pro American Superbike, AMA Pro Daytona SportBike, newly created AMA Pro Supersport for riders 16-21 and the AMA Pro SunTrust Moto-GT class.  Fans will still get to see their favorite riders like Mat Mladin, Tommy Hayden, Neil Hodgson, Ben Bostrom, Jamie Hacking, Roger Lee Hayden, Josh Hayes and Larry Pegram compete in close battles.

On top of some of the best racing ever, there will be stunt shows by Jason Britton and Team No Limit, the famous Friday Night Fan Party where fans can win $100 dollars in cash for answering motorcycle trivia questions, a kids’ area to include an exotic animal zoo, a sand art station, and moon bouncers. The weekend will also include an expanded vendor area, manufacturers demo rides, nightly live music, a movie night, an exotic car display and the very popular Big Kahuna Vintage Bike Display.

The Big Kahuna is an event for families. This year to help families in these stressed financial times all children under the age of 15 will be admitted to the event free of charge. In addition, there will also be a separate family-friendly camping area like in years past. The family camping area is very quiet, and designed specifically for families.

Tickets packages for this 10th anniversary celebration are priced to go fast! The Big Kahuna Pair provides two 3-day general admission tickets, two pit walk passes, one general parking pass, one event program, and two official event t-shirts for just under $200. A Family Four Pack includes four 3-day general admission tickets, one general parking pass, and lunch for four both Saturday and Sunday for just under $300.  In addition, we offer our very popular garage suite pass, as well as the Pagoda pass.  Both packages include weekend hospitality in private air conditioned facilities.
