ESLICK TO RIDE BUELL IN AMA DAYTONA SPORTBIKE

Second RMR Team
EAST TROY, Wis. (Feb. 9,
2009) Richie Morris Racing recently announced the
team will field a second Buell 1125R in the AMA
Daytona Sportbike class sponsored by Bruce
Rossmeyer's Daytona Racing and Shelly Rossmeyer
Motorcycles of Daytona and piloted by young gun
Danny Eslick. The team will join the previously
announced RMR/GEICO Powersports - sponsored 1125R
with rider Michael Barnes.
"We've been working on
this deal since we announced the GEICO team, and
it's great to finally reveal our plans for the
second team," said Richie Morris. "Bruce
and I have been partners since 1994 and it is
exciting to continue our relationship. It is equally
exciting to have a young hard charger like Danny on
board."
Eslick, 22, of Broken Arrow,
OK, started his career racing flat track motorcyles
before turning to road racing. He finished third in
the 2005 AMA Formula Xtreme championship, with a
fourth place finish in that year's Daytona 200. In
2008, he finished tenth in the AMA's Supersport
class with two podium finishes and seven top 10
results and finished 11th in the final Formula
Xtreme season standings.
"I am excited to begin a
new era in my racing," said Eslick, who is
switching to Buell after several seasons aboard
Suzukis. "I have known Michael Barnes for years
and we work well together. I can't wait to learn
from him and have some sweet battles up front,"
he added. "I would like to thank Richie Morris,
Barney, Mom, Grand Ma, and everyone who
helped."
